Welcome to the New Jersey PTA!

The PTA organization is a volunteer organization of adults and students whose sole purpose is to advocate for children and youth. The NJPTA has nearly 800 local PTAs in all 21 counties of New Jersey and a total membership of approximately 200,000 members.

The mission of NJPTA:

  • To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
  • To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and
  • To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
